Provided art direction and concepted a school project magazine called Glance, a school publication at FIDM that contributed to my final grade, I developed a concept that captured the publication’s vibrant and expressive content. The cover and main articles featured the enigmatic Anne Clark, known as St. Vincent, with an alternate option spotlighting the multifaceted James Franco. To convey the magazine’s dynamic and artistic spirit, I chose a hand-written aesthetic, using expressive typography and organic, fluid lines. This approach not only highlighted the creative and personal nature of the interviews and articles but also added a unique, intimate touch that resonated with the magazine’s youthful and creative audience. The result was a visually compelling and engaging publication that reflected the innovative and exciting essence of Glance magazine.
